I'm Ravi Kumar, a mechanical design engineer with over 10 years of experience helping manufacturers, product companies, and startups across the USA and Europe turn ideas into manufacturable parts. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree specializing in CAD/CAM, which gives me a deep, practical
understanding of design and manufacturing — not just how to model a part, but how to design it correctly for the way it will actually be produced.
My core expertise is in SolidWorks and CATIA, which I use daily for 3D modeling, sheet metal design, plastic part design, and injection mold design. I specialize in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), helping clients catch costly tooling and production issues before a part ever reaches the shop floor, and I support material selection so every design choice holds up to real-world load, environment, and cost requirements.
Over the years I've worked on automotive components, machinery parts, sheet metal enclosures, and injection-molded plastic products — supporting New Product Development (NPD) projects from early concept sketches through to production-ready CAD models and 2D technical drawings. I also build 3D models optimized for 3D printing when clients need a fast prototype before committing to tooling.
